has a Hybrid Direct Load Control, using Cannon Power
Line Communication (PLC) and 900 MHz FLEX® paging.
They control air conditioners, dual fuel, water heaters
and irrigation and have deployed over 25,000 load control
devices. They control over 50 MW with their Demand Response
system, with the core being a Yukon® Software suite of
modules including Capacitor Bank Feeder Optimization,
Genset Control, Load Management, and SCADA Interface.
This innovative customer has earned high marks in providing
optimum customer focused solutions and has been a Cannon
Technologies user since 1988. |

selected Cannon Technologies to replace an aging VHF
load control system that needed 99% throughput of signal,
unique addressability and capability to read irrigation
meters remotely providing load survey info. This customer
uses the Cannon Power Line Communications (PLC) System
which now reads over 30,000 residential customers and
has over 1,000 wholehouse disconnects with settable
interruptible thresholds, remote capacitor bank control,
and Cannon PLC modems interfacing to ABB Alpha meters.
They have several megawatts under control and support
their investment with a strong staff. |

| A customer
since the mid 1990's, Cannon Technologies went into
a Greenfield project where the need for AMR, load control,
substation automation, and distribution automation were
of near equal concern. This customer wanted one vendor
who could do it all and chose us. The base backbone
is an Cannon Power Line Communications (PLC) System,
with shared communication line to both the injector
and a GE D20 RTU. This customer reads nearly all residential
meters remotely, and has a load survey option on all.
Three-phase Cannon PLC interfaces are with both ABB
Alpha and Siemens S-4. Load Management along with down-line
voltage monitoring and control, and capacitor bank control
have a seamless integration to their SCADA system. This
customer comments that their system has increased their
customer satisfaction, and enhanced their competitive
position in the marketplace. |
