Service Engineer/Technician
Cannon Technologies is seeking experienced
candidates for an immediate full-time opening for a Service
Engineer or Technician.
The successful candidate will help to specify,
deliver, and support control systems to electric utilities
for automatic meter reading, demand response, and distribution
automation in North America. Candidates must have strong
technical and troubleshooting skills with previous experience
serving the electric utility industry. Work involves travel
to electric IOUs, cooperatives, and municipals for installation,
training and troubleshooting assistance and working with
designers, developers, and service personnel and electric
utility users.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or 2 year
degree as an Electronics Technician
- Minimum 2 years work experience in technical service
and/or system delivery to electric utilities
- Strong communication, writing and organizational skills
Other Desired Skills:
- Prior experience working in electric utility substations
- Wireless and telecommunications experience
- Familiarity with common office software applications
- Computer systems experience

Java Web Application
Developer
Cannon Technologies is seeking local
experienced candidates for an immediate full-time opening
for a Software Applications Developer.
Successful candidate will develop applications
to support Cannon's Yukon® Software Platform, which
is used by over 125 electric utilities in North America.
Candidates must have good software development and communication
skills to collaborate on designs and make them a reality.
Work involves coding, software design, working in conjunction
with experienced designers, other developers, and electric
utility users.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Computer Science (or Computer Engineering)
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in Java Programming
- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills
- Experienced in web development utilizing JSP/Servlets,
Javascript, HTML, and XML
- Experienced with SQL and JDBC
Other Desired Skills:
- J2EE experience
- Tomcat experience
- Familiar with Open Source Projects
- Webservices (Apache AXIS)
- DHTML/AJAX
- Java Beans/EJBs

- Experience in the negotiation and delivery of complex
control systems
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to travel frequently
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering

- Guide sales efforts in area to achieve business objectives
- Identify, develop and manage channel partners to achieve
channel goals
- Guide the development and execution of strategic account
plans to meet business goals
