	Cooper Power Systems Solution Selected by PG&E Cooper Power Systems, a division of Cooper Industries, Ltd. (NYSE: CBE), announced today that it has been selected by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to provide a system for peak demand reduction designed for PG&E’s residential and small commercial customers. The Cannon Demand Management solution, which is part of Cooper’s Energy Automation Solutions (EAS) group, will enable PG&E to gain at least five megawatts of clean energy capacity by June 15, 2007 and can be expanded to ultimately provide more than 300 megawatts of clean energy capacity by 2010 subject to approval by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). Cooper expects the project will represent between $28 million and $40 million in revenue over the period 2007-2010 if expanded to full capacity. More Information
	Cooper Industries Acquires Cannon Technologies Cooper Industries (NYSE: CBE) today announced the acquisition by Cooper Power Systems, Inc. of Cannon Technologies, Inc., a Minneapolis-based provider of automation technologies for monitoring and metering, and energy management by electrical utilities. With this acquisition, Cooper Power Systems will provide customers with comprehensive solutions -- from the meter to the control room -- including the ability to use a wide variety of communications technologies to link equipment. 	Baltimore Gas & Electric Selects Cannon Technologies' Distribution Automation Solution to Replace Conventional Voltage Regulator Technology Cannon Technologies, Inc. announces that Baltimore Gas & Electric, a Constellation Energy Company, has chosen Cannon Technologies' Yukon® Centralized Capacitor Control software and CBC7000 capacitor bank controller to regulate distribution line voltages. 	Itron Announces Partnership with Cannon Technologies for Power Line Carrier Technology Itron Inc. announces a new partnership with Cannon Technologies. The partnership will enable Itron to augment its wireless Fixed Network technology with Cannon's power line carrier (PLC) technology to provide utilities with an integrated advanced metering solution that delivers reliable and cost-effective coverage in both high and low-density service territories. 	KCP&L and Honeywell Target Air Conditioners to Reduce Summer Peak Demand Under the contract, Honeywell will install ExpressStat® thermostats in more than 12,800 residential homes and small commercial businesses. ExpressStat® combines a popular Honeywell programmable thermostat and a direct control receiver from Cannon Technologies. The receiver features a FLEX paging system that enables KCP&L to communicate with the thermostats and cycle air conditioners off for short intervals during periods of peak energy use. The SubGate® is a cost-effective solution for gathering data from substation equipment such as transformers and circuit breakers. Announces Versatile Polyphase Meter Interface for Power Line Communication Cannon Technologies, Inc. announces the availability of a versatile automated meter reading (AMR) device designed for remote reading of popular digital polyphase meters in 4-6 seconds over utility-owned power lines. The multi-voltage/multi-protocol MCT-470 is the first “micro-RTU” capable of bi-directional serial communication with digital meters from different manufacturers over power distribution lines.
