IDACOMM and Cannon Technologies Form Strategic Partnership

Boise, ID and Golden Valley, MN, February 16, 2005 - IDACOMM and Cannon Technologies today announced a strategic partnership to integrate Cannon’s advanced meter reading (AMR) and power distribution automation technologies into broadband-over-power-line (BPL) networks developed by IDACOMM.

As part of the strategic partnership, IDACOMM, a subsidiary of IDACORP (NYSE: IDA), will build a demonstration and testing lab at their offices in Boise to highlight the capabilities of combining Cannon’s technology with a BPL network. The demonstration lab will include:

• Demonstrating BPL concentrators as injection points for Cannon’s Power Line Communication AMR technology;
  
• Integration of Cannon’s power distribution automation products by way of direct connection to the BPL network; and
  
• Integration of Cannon’s Yukon™ advanced energy services platform into IDACOMM’s complete utility solution set.

The IDACOMM BPL testing and demonstration lab in Boise will be unique in providing multiple BPL network infrastructures including equipment from Ambient, Amperion and Mitsubishi, all in one place.
