Technologies Announces Widespread Adoption of Advanced
Power Line AMR Meter
Golden Valley, Minnesota,
September 27, 2004 - Cannon Technologies announced
today that the company has secured AMR system wins with
seven new customers
and
new commitments from over 20 existing customers, bringing
the short term order backlog to well over $10 million.
This milestone was achieved in just the first two months
of availability of its new 410 Series advanced Power Line
Carrier AMR meter featuring a new solid-state single-phase
meter design.
Cannon executives attribute this rapid success
to the combination of Cannon's MCT-410iL™, described as
the most accurate, most intelligent house meter on the
market; with EMETCON, the fastest two way Distribution
Line Carrier; and Yukon™, Cannon's powerful, user-friendly,
Windows-based software platform. With more new product
announcements to follow, Cannon Technologies foresees continued
strong growth in this product family.
"Our success with this new product comes
with customers who value the increased AMR functionality
offered by Cannon," said
Bill Simons, Director of AMR Systems for Cannon Technologies, "In
addition to the industry's largest feature set in
an AMR meter, Cannon offers superb software, true distribution
automation and advanced load management." Simons,
a recent addition to Cannon Technologies, added, "The
Cannon product suite is extremely well conceived; our personnel
and support are first rate – it's a pleasure
to work with this team."
