Cannon Technologies Announces EMETCON Digital Interface for ABB Alpha Meter

October 20, 1997, Minneapolis, MN—Cannon Technologies, Inc. of Wayzata, MN announced to a record setting Users Group that field testing is underway for the new EMETCON™ MCT series devices that will support a direct digital interface to the ABB Alpha™ meters.

The new equipment will be able to read and reset the Alpha meters using a utilities power lines. This functionality will be available for both the EMETCON fixed network system as well as the Portable EMETCON reader.
