Management Production from ABB

Technologies, Inc. of Wayzata, MN announced today that they have
acquired the 2-way Distribution Line Carrier (EMETCON) and
1-way Load Management manufacturing as sets and inventory from
Asea, Brown, Boveri (ABB).
Cannon Technologies has also acquired a perpetual

electric meters. Utilities then make decisions regarding rates,
power quality, service options, and load management based primarily
on the data received from s ystems and meters in the field.
Load management is the process whereby utility companies
decide to regulate the supply (or load) of electricity based on
real-time data received during peak usage periods in order to
conserve electricity and ensure that customer demand does not
exceed available supply.
In addition to 1-way and 2-way metering systems,
Cannon Technologies has also developed the Substation Advisor®,
an automation system for substations that includes equipment
sensors, trending applications for predictive mainten ance,
and interfaces to many existing SCADA (Substation Control
And Data Acquisition) systems.
Cannon Technologies is a privately held company
founded in 1987 specializing in the development of software and
systems for electric utility remote metering, substation automation,
and load management. Cannon Technologies presently has over 170
electric utilities worldwide using its software products. Based
in Wayzata, MN, Cannon Technologies also has branch offices in
